We don't keep your data

We don't run our own database or customer list, and we don't store personal information about you on this website.

When you buy the eBook

Payment and delivery are handled entirely by our payment provider. It collects your name, email address, billing details and payment information so it can take payment, send you the file and meet its tax obligations. That information is held by the payment provider under its own privacy policy, not by us.

Product updates (optional)

At checkout, there is an optional box to receive product updates and offers by email. It is unticked unless you choose to tick it. If you do, your email address is held by our payment provider and used only to tell you about Real World SEO, such as new editions of the book. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

When you email us

If you email us, we use your message only to reply. We don't add your address to any list or use it for marketing.

Showing prices in your currency

When you visit, the site checks which country your internet connection is in, so it can show the right price. If the site is hosted on Cloudflare this uses Cloudflare's own lookup; otherwise your IP address is sent to the free service country.is, which returns only a country code. We don't store your IP address or the result.

Where the site is hosted

This website is hosted on servers in the United States. Like any website, our hosting provider may briefly process technical information such as your IP address in order to deliver the pages to you. We don't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the UK and EU GDPR give you rights over your personal data, such as the right to access or delete it. As we don't store your data, most requests will be for our payment provider, but you can email us and we'll help. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK, that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
